Taxes and other fees

Quattro Tires will provide a detailed transaction summary. This way, you will easily be able to compare prices with our competitors and see the savings you have by purchasing through us. When you reach the cart, Quattro Tires will give you a detailed copy of your order/quote with all detailed fees and costs so you know exactly what you pay for.

Here are the different amounts that will be described on the bill or the order form:

  • Unit price of the tire multiplied by the quantity.
  • Shipping costs, according to the size and location
  • A tire recycling fee, according to the shipping province policies*, applicable purchasing new tires. This amount constitutes a mandatory government tax. All retailers must charge this government tax but some choose to include this fee in the purchase price and charge more.
  • Each order is subjected to the appropriated taxes rate. First there is the Goods and Services Tax (GST), which is calculated on the selling price at 5%. Secondly, there is the Provincial Sales Taxes (PST), which is calculated on the selling price, including the GST at the current rates.

*For some provinces, the tax is simply the Harmonized Sales Taxes (HST) which is added to the selling price.

*The environmental fee is associated with the delivery province, for Quebec it is 3.00$/tire and for Alberta it is 4.00$/tire.

 

Tire recycling fee per province

  1. QUÉBEC ; as of July 1, 2023, the specific fee on new tires will be $4.50 for car tires and $6.00 for truck tires. Please note that the method of collecting, declaring and remitting this specific duty will remain the same.

Typographical errors

Quattro Tires is committed to have accurate information on its website, however in the case of a typographical error from our part or from a supplier concerning the price, availability or description of a model; Quattro tires reserves the right to withhold or refuse any transaction whether it be confirmed or not. In this case, if the payment has already been accepted, Quattro tires will cancel the order and credit the exact amount on the customer’s credit card or used payment method. Quattro Tires is not responsible for any mistakes concerning the description of a brand or model of tire or concerning any availability on the website. Quattro tires cannot be held responsible for any typographical error on the website.
